Explore 14-in-1 →How to read the magnesium amounts
Elemental magnesium is the magnesium itself. A compound or complex weight includes the other components too. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements explains this distinction in its magnesium fact sheet.
For MAGPLUS+ 7-in-1, the label lists 77 mg elemental magnesium (19% Daily Value) and a 1,050 mg liposomal complex. For 14-in-1, the label lists a 350 mg magnesium complex and a 550 mg liposomal magnesium complex. Compare these amounts within their labeled categories.
Your questions, answered
Do both formulas contain magnesium L-threonate?
Yes. In 7-in-1, magnesium L-threonate is part of the 1,050 mg liposomal complex with phosphatidylserine. In 14-in-1, it is included in the 350 mg magnesium complex with malate and glycinate.
Which formula contains L-theanine and apigenin?
MAGPLUS+ 7-in-1 contains 200 mg L-theanine and 50 mg apigenin per two-capsule serving. Those ingredients are not listed in the 14-in-1 formula.
Does 7-in-1 contain melatonin?
No. MAGPLUS+ 7-in-1 is melatonin-free. Follow the bottle’s directions and cautions, including guidance about drowsiness.
Can I take both formulas together?
Start with the formula that fits your goal. Because both contain magnesium, ask your pharmacist or clinician to review your total intake, medicines and other supplements before combining them.
Where do the ingredient amounts come from?
The formula details above use the Supplement Facts information maintained on each product page. Follow the label on your bottle. Ingredient research and product testing are different: a study on an individual ingredient does not establish the results of the finished combination.
